Common questions
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
Yes. Songkrate plays music through your existing Apple Music subscription. If your kids use Songkrate on their own device, an Apple Music Family plan lets everyone in the household have their own Apple ID with full access.
How do I use Songkrate with Screen Time?
A few quick settings let your kid enjoy Songkrate while Screen Time keeps everything else locked down. See our Screen Time setup guide for step-by-step instructions.
How do I manage my subscription?
Songkrate subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Your free trial runs in the app until it ends; you'll only be charged if you subscribe.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings → Delete Account in the app and confirm with your password — this permanently deletes your account and all associated data, including every child profile and its history. Prefer we handle it? Email hello@songkrate.app from your account address.
Can another parent help manage the music?
Yes. Invite another parent or guardian from Settings. They'll get full access to curate music and manage profiles. Up to 5 family members total.
A song won't play. What's going on?
Occasionally Apple removes a song or album from the Apple Music catalog, which makes it unplayable for everyone. Try removing and re-adding the album, or pick a different version. If it keeps happening, email us and we'll take a look.
